Airport Not for Sale

 Sample picture

The Edmonton Municipal airport might be bought out by a calgary company who wants to build a office complex on it. If that happens we will lose much of our history. It is home to the Edmonton flying Club. I flew for the first time from this airport. If they tear down this airport a piece of my heart will go with it.

beebs's Gravatar Wow I'm surprised to see a topic about THIS Edmonton issue on here LOL. Unfortunately I'd rather see the city center closed.. its usefulness ran out years ago. It's nice to keep a piece of history, but the amount of revenues the city could make in taxes, etc. makes the sale of the land 100% worth it.

And with an added bonus, the height restriction on downtown buildings would then be removed. ;)

beebs's Gravatar There are many small airports around the city which could service these jets as well as the International Airport. There may be a minor inconvenience for a few, but in the grand scheme of things developing the lands with condo's and/or expanding NAIT would greatly benefit the city on many levels. Even if just for the $95 Million that can be earned annually just in taxes.

When I saw her mens timberland boots I was shocked, since I immediately recognized her from church but had no timberland boots outlet idea that it was she who wrote the notes. She was sitting in a chair in timberland roll top boots office with her hands folded in her lap. Her head was bowed and when she raised white timberland boots it to look at me, she could barely smile without pain.
