Epidemic - The Chaos
The dump got flushed, I guess server felt hungry.

H1N1 epidemic is surging in brazil now, my classes got suspended at least until august 10th, and that might get extended. Being in the medical school, I had imagined I'd be a bit more informed than the rest of the people about what is going on, but oddly, in spite of studying on the region's largest hospital, accurate information about what is going on is imposisble to get. Some say 2 deaths, other say 10, rumor is that some residents are in ITU due to it, and one of our infectology professors is thinking that a killer strain might have mutated. Pharmacies don't have alcohol anymore, and tamiflu was confiscated by the government. Is this hysteria or what?
I'll just stay at home and wait to see what'll happen...

the annual emergency budget. Here in Manitoba it's gotten pretty bad, we have some health science centre which both specializes in the study of both human and animal diseases and infections (the
only facility in the World to accomodate both I might add) and by the time they deply a vaccine here the virus has already mutated and become immune to it.
So it's pretty scary, especially knowing my mom is a very busy person travelling a lot. Recently a whole plane of people were hostpitalized here in Manitoba because of the flu. A lady who was on the
plane and pregnant miscarried. :(
So far the only good thing it did for me was I got an extended 2 month project finishing time for school and I exempted all my exams. I just coincidentally got sick 4 days before Finals and they don't
allow anyone with Flu like symptoms into the school. So instead of failing 10 credits in one semester I got my full 10! I only need 2 credits more than I'm done Highschool, so I can say the H1N1
saved my butt from barely passing highschool :P
