if you wanna play cxl, you  will have to get a really good computer... its obvious... but at least you will need a great graphics card for sure!(check those pics!) 

yes... it was all the way to the red for one short moment.
first of all , I did nothing good to my city at all(I tried to create the worst possible city!!!) after a while ,  I wiped out the city with every possible disaster , and , although many homes still existed , the city was in ruin. all utilities were wiped out beyond repair.


and , lo(thus) we have a problem with my citizens! that , for a short month , had my approval ratings at their minimum , but next month , all but 80 people moved out!(they were all gone next month!)

I used all the cash I had build up to rebuild a much better city , but it never workd , no matter how much you do , cities never seem to recover from things like this... the city never recovered(even after I demolished and rebuilt the entire city!!!) the mayor rating was always low , and people generally stayed away.

Most probaly are not interested in these things , but for those who are , I am trying to create a diverse blog.

so , , if you are reading this , you are obviously interested , and this will tell you about a lot of myself... I may not get a complete edition today , so it may be incomplete. I will remove this , however , when it is complete.)


once , we went to one of my "friend's" house , he had a bunch of  electronics , and I instantly fell in love with the electronic idea.

 I later got several electronics kits for christmas.
 I was overjoyed.

one of them included a paralaxx robot , I had a lot of fun programming it(in basic!)
one boring friday night , I made up my mind(with a commitment I had no idea would last years , then fail...)
I was going to program , computers , and make a computer game...(like I said , it failed , I made something , but it was true junk!)

it took about a year aloneto learn how to program C alone.(I was about 10 by then. I know , I was young.)

unfortunatly , like an idiot , I was working on it even while I learned , and it just worsened the piece of junk I made(by then , it was too big to re-write , so I was stuck with it!)

so I worked on it about another year , totalling about 2 years , my code was a piece of true crud , I finished it on my birthday , I was 11 , I made a site page for it , but that no longer exists ,and I can't say I am upset.


but while I worked I came across a mogazine article that changed my life(I didn't know it at the time!)
you can probably tell I was using a linux machine.
it was "wine windows emulator for linux" it barely worked , but I looked up stuff to install for it , I learned that roller coaster tycoon , worked on it.

I played it a bit , but a few days later , we got simcity (I guess my dad saw me playing a simulation game , and got a bunch more (one of which was simcity 3000!))

I loved it for about a year , then we got simcity 4.

I got bored , so I looked up some videos on google for sc4.
I found one with turn lanes , and everytrhing(little did I know it was the nam!)
at the end , I saw "Mods by simtropolis modders."

so I lokked up that on google , and found simtropolis!
obviously, I joined, then downloaded a number of things... not finding the nam until later... a couple weeks later, I FOUND IT!!!

I have put traffic generators in , quite obviously , but it really is very sweet , it looks almost exactly like the highways in hartford , except the divided express lanes(fast lanes , or restricted lanes , but they are never called express lanes...)do not exist in these.(and if the traffic is jammed on one side , it is on the other too...)

heres list of the cheat codes I know:
(***please note that cougar2004 made a thread that included a link***)(found in the cheat code section)to a file that added several cheat codes(including moolah)just install it in your program files plugin folder.

press ctrl+x to enter a cheat code , if it dissapearrs when you press enter , you typed it correctly , if not - you mistyped it.
some cheat codes are toggles - meaning it ends as soon as you retype it - other you restart the game to reset.

please check the top of the simcity 4 general discussion board (found in the forum) about the extra cheats dll , you will need it for some of the extra cheats.



weaknesspays               gives you a thousand dollars
you don't deserve it        unlocks all reward buildings
recorder                                   starts the vidio recorder (EDITED FOR THIS ENTRY )

tastyzots                                     turns off  zots(usefull for screenshots you intend to show)

THE MOST USEFULL CHEATS FOUND INSIDE THE EXTRA CHEATS DLL:

drawpaths                     draws the paths that cars can take in your city.( if you have the extra cheats dll , try it , its neat.)


hidepaths                      uhhhhhh..... hmm what do you think?

moolah                           use this to determine haw much money you have(don't go too crazy... you can get it to roll over)

udriveit                            allows you to click any vehicle and drive it , if you want to cancel , just press esc.





new*** :
"plopalllots"                   plops just about every building possible in your city(warning , it has been poorly tested , do this at your own risk as a crash is very possible)[sometimes , you can build roads strait through the buildings that the cheat plops!!! and there still u-drive-it compatible!I have no idea what happens when there isn't enough space to put all the lots , also , sometimes it doesnt plop all the possible lots - use this cheat at your own risk , also , nobody knows exactly what this cheat is supposed to do - I am telling you what I saw. ]


plopallbuildings             does something similar to plopalllots , this is also poorly tested.
this is one that needs testing:
love money     :             gives unlimited cash (not sure how that works)please test.

I hear that if you hold the curser over a reward building write down the requirments , build it , then earn it , your city planner will reward it again!!! double rewards!!!

please note that some of them didnt seem to work right - if you know any more please post them - this is the "cheating thread" PLEASE POST!!!
if you did anything weird - you can post them too.
I tested the unlimited cash cheat - it did nothing , maybe sombody will be lucky enough to get it to work.
also , heres a max money mod you can use to cheat:

*** if you let the buildings grow with normal road options , then after the buildings have grown up replace the roads with rhws , then the buildings wont zot.
In other words - replace roads with rhws in developed areas to avoid the ncz(no car zot)
recently updated!!!.

private schools are not as affective as public ones , but they dont have any monthly cost.

*** you can demolish the center of nam roundabouts and put something else in them.

although power plants and water towers/pumps will generate zots when not next to a road - just ignore that , they will still function so you can place them way out far freely , they also make good "median fillers" for the rhw.
ill try to add to this post here and there.

it will be nice when I figure out how to use the love money cheat , and the god mode cheat.

This is a quote of one of my post showing how to get rid of a seriously messy plugins folder , in , ... ahem... what? ... 24 HOURS??????
yes , thats a while , but it might be worth it:

try this:

0.
create a complete backup of your plugins folder , just to be safe.

read, then do. I am not responsible for messups on your plugins if you have not completed this step!

0__________+.5 READ the step above , its important.
1.
every time you delete a mod , put it in a special folder , if you need it again , just refer to this.(also , make one sub-folder for each category in this special folder.)
2.
organize in category based-named folder what you can deduce by looking at the names , do as much as you can ahead of time , put all category based folders in another sub-folder named so you can have all progress separate.

3.
make a log of all the files in the plugins folder... it sounds hard , but it can be helpful for the next steps.
4.
run any uninstallers in your plugins folder , one at a time , see what files are gone , reinstall them in catagory-based named folders in your plugins folder(this helps you see what some of the files are , so you can move them.)
5.
re-download all the plugins you know you have... search for these files(looking for the same files in the re-downloaded plugin) and move them to category-based-named folders.
6.
look for read-me files , and try to organize from what you can see here.

read step 0 , make sure its done!!!!!!
7.
of the remaining plugins , remove ONE of them , and test your cities , and see what has change , try to figure out what the plugin is by that , and move them accordingly.
8.
repeat th steps above until your plugins folder is complete.
9.
place all remaining plugins in a folder named "Other".
10.
place all read-me or manual files in a folder named "manuals".

last of all , don't mess up your plugins folder again!
