Hey hey hey! More from Sketchup

Hope you all had a good weekend! I know I did. I had family over for a couple days and went golfing on Saturday (I'm pretty bad, the course was par 36 and I shot a 77, haha!) Oh well, practice makes perfect (although in my case I better practice much more often!) Hopefully I can get out to the driving range this afternoon and hit a bucket or two. Anyway, that was my weekend, and now on to the show.

Today I have a new neighborhood (untitled as of yet) that I would like to share with you. It's in its preliminary stages so don't expect what I had last time. But it's a couple new concepts I have going inspired by my own hometown, Minneapolis, including skyways and a pedestrian mall (inspired by Nicollet Mall, also known as Nicollet Avenue, a ped mall that runs through downtown.) Perhaps if I work at it I can insert a light rail line like the one right here in the Twin Cities. Most of my work is inspired by cities in the metro area, so if you're from around here it may look familiar.

So, without further ado, here is a rough outline of what I've been working on:

I know, there's nothing to see yet, but I figured I should post something...

Anyway, enjoy!

Archean's Gravatar Wow, really nice midrise! I love the skybridges and the shape of the tower.

ids2's Gravatar Thanks! Those skybridges are very common around Minneapolis/St Paul. And that tower is very loosely based off the IDS Center in Minneapolis. Actually, the only thing they really have in common is shape, but oh well. Thanks again!
